Spinning Tops, Swings & Smiles

Before we even stepped outside today, the fun had already begun! S and Y were completely captivated by a musical spinning top. 🎶 Each time it wobbled or toppled over, the twins burst into laughter, giggling until their cheeks turned pink. It set such a joyful tone for the rest of our day.

Our first stop was along the cliff tops, where we hoped to spot the goats that usually roam the area. 🐐 Sadly, they weren’t there today, but that didn’t dampen the mood. Instead, S and Y enjoyed gazing out at the sweeping views of the beach below 🌊—both so content to simply take it all in.

From there, we headed to Shelley Park for some real adventure. Y made a beeline for the swings, his face lighting up with every push. 😄 He giggled the whole time, loving the thrill of soaring through the air. When it was S’s turn, she was just as excited—her laughter ringing out as she asked to go higher and higher. 💨 Both of them absolutely loved it!

Next up: the slide! 🛝 Y approached the climbing frame carefully, focusing on every step as he worked his way up. When he reached the top and zoomed down the slide, he looked so proud of himself. S wasn’t far behind—she climbed up with determination and came down just as quickly, grinning from ear to ear. Y repeated the climb over and over again, while S zoomed around the playground in her own burst of energy.

Then came the roundabout, which turned into its own game. 🎠 First, they decided to spin me around—shrieking with laughter as I tried to catch them. Then the twins climbed on together, spinning around and dissolving into more giggles. It was such a simple moment, but so full of happiness.

Before heading home, we had one last stop: the big swings. This time, Y showed off his growing confidence, kicking his legs to swing higher on his own. 🌟 S preferred being pushed, laughing joyfully as she soared back and forth. Watching them both enjoy the swings in their own ways was such a lovely reminder of their unique personalities.

All in all, it was a fabulous day—full of fresh air, big smiles, and endless giggles. 💛
